Historical Female Botanist Event Poster
This was a set of informational flyers created for an event hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University Library's Archives Department. They were used as promotional materials for social media , print, and their website.
I was inspired by images of vintage botanical diagrams/ illustrations. I tried to recreate that same look by making a worn paper background and using a handwriting font. In the first poster I chose to highlight the Bougainville plant because it was a plant discovered by Jeanne Baret, a famous historical woman in the field of botany. So, it fit perfectly with the topic of the lecture.
